CHALLENGES & OUR SOLUTIONS

1. BROWN ALGAE

Brown algae is an environmentally destructive pest and has been spreading unabated throughout the entire region. It destroys ecosystems and fishing grounds, disrupts shipping traffic. It pollutes beaches and endangers drinking water purification.

ENERGY & RAW MATERIALS
Production

(BIOFUEL) from Brown Algae. The collected algae are processed on land for energy generation and production of water. This creates jobs, value and needed resources. In the country, with the country, for the country

2. PLASTIC POLLUTION

Over 5 trillion pieces of plastic currently polluting the ocean. By 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.

HYDROGEN & RAW MATERIALS
Production

Platform chemicals are processed from the collected plastic, which are converted locally into hydrogen in the next step.

3. SEABED & REEFS

Reefs and the seabed are under relentless stress from many global and local issues, including climate change, declining water quality, overfishing, pollution and unsustainable coastal development.

RECOVERY & AFFORESTATION

Sustainable solutions to improve the quality of seabed and reefs.
With the use of patented, innovative technologies, seagrass beds and coral reefs are sustainably and rapidly replanted to preserve this important marine life resource and repair environmental damage.

Circular process from waste to value

OUR INNOVATIONS

GREEN CARBON from biomass
(CO2 neutral)

Innovative, sustainable materials for shell and superstructure.
Revolutionizing the shipping industry.
Replacement of regular materials with green carbon from natural sources with the ability to use it as a substitute for conventional materials in superstructure.

GEODESY

for the concrete analysis of substances, use of AI for data acquisition and processing.

LABORATORY

  • Development of circular material flows from waste.
  • Marine biological analysis of waste, residues and biomasses.
  • Biodiversity breeding programmes for corals, reefs and seabed.
  • Analysis and creation of a database to record marine pollution and species impact.
  • Maritime research „Food for Future“.

RENEWABLE TECHNOLOGIES
(all patented)

Intelligent energy management with renewable technologies.
WIND: Vertical wind turbines based on Flettner-Rotor in diff erent sizes and positions to support the on-board supply.
SOLAR: Floatable, rollable solar panels for additional energy generation.
Circumventing the cooling problem.
BATTERY: LiFePO4-based energy storage batteries for energy storage from solar power Thermoelectric heat recovery on the exhaust gas lines of diesel engines (PbTe or 2nd generation Bi2Te3 )

GREEN FARMING

Vertical Farming Cubes, fully self-suffi cient and autonomous, ideal breeding conditions. Automated cube, which is completely sealed off , reducing energy and nutrient requirements by 50%.

Who we are

Circular Waves is a nonprofit organization (NPO), founded in the Principality of Monaco with the mission to save our oceans by:

  • Removing brown algae & reusing it as a valuable source for energy and material production.
  • Removing plastics & reusing it for hydrogen power and material production.
  • Restoring and afforestation of endangered sea habitats with seabed and reefs.
  • Revolutionizing the shipping industry with our sustainable materials for constructing ships and boats.

As a 360° research platform with onboard laboratory we collect ocean geodesy data to develop tailor-made solutions. With AI we transfer the collected data in realistic simulations.

We collaborate with leading universities, scientific institutes, foundations and companies to enable healthier oceans.

Our platform is accessible to anyone and all our technologies can be applied individually as a modular system.

We think circularly, with innovative solutions and meaningful concepts.

Education

Our program teaches kids about ocean pollution and how to prevent it. It‘s interactive and fun, with beach cleanups and multimedia resources.
We inspire a sense of responsibility and encourage active participation in ocean protection.
